Find Young County Traffic Cases

Start with the court printed on the citation, because that justice or municipal court holds the Young County traffic court file. The driver's home town does not decide it. The ticket itself carries the details that matter, from the case identifiers to the appearance date, and those make a traffic ticket lookup possible. Online tools differ from court to court, so phone calls, counter visits, and written requests still carry weight. Whatever you do, confirm case status and response steps with the issuing court before paying or contesting. And remember that the court file tracks the citation and its outcome, while a state driver record is a separate thing entirely.

Traffic Case Records in Young County

Who wrote the ticket decides where the case lands. Texas State Trooper and Young County Sheriff citations go to the JP. That JP is printed on the ticket. The county traffic page links payment paths for JP1 and JP3. But it offers no anonymous countywide citation search. Graham Municipal Court stands apart. It handles Class C misdemeanors, traffic and parking cases, city ordinances, code enforcement, and school attendance. Olney runs its own citation and payment route.

Every court keeps its own docket register. A Young County traffic entry can show the citation, the appearance, a plea, payment, dismissal, deferred disposition, a driving-safety request, an order, and the judgment. An online payment screen may tell you only the status and the amount. For the full docket or a copy, call the court.

Young County Citation Routes

JP1 runs its traffic counter at 516 Fourth Street in Graham. Call 940-549-3636 or write JP1@youngcounty.org. JP3 sits at 117 S. Grand in Olney. Its number is 940-564-5001, and its email is JP3@youngcounty.org. The county's official traffic page gives one rule. Use the precinct printed on the citation.

The official Young County traffic-routing page sends trooper and sheriff citations to the JP named on the ticket.

Your citation, not a countywide search box, picks the court. The official JP1 page supplies the Graham precinct contact and its payment instructions.

Precinct 1 on a Young County traffic citation is your sign to use the JP1 screen instead.

Every other route runs through Precinct 3, and the official JP3 page carries the Olney precinct forms along with its payment route.

Young County JP3 traffic court forms and payment route

JP3 records stay separate from JP1 and the municipal courts, with payment instructions to match.

Young County Traffic Ticket Lookups

Start with the citation number and the appearance date printed on the ticket. Graham offers several online search routes. The JP and Olney paths lean more on court-directed payment and office contact. Young County offers no countywide citation-number search. Phone and counter access stay central to a full traffic lookup. That is where the docket opens up.

  1. Read the citation for the issuing court, precinct, number, and appearance date.
  2. Use the official court-linked portal only for that named court.
  3. For Graham, choose citation, name, vehicle, or business search as appropriate.
  4. Call or visit the court counter if the citation is missing or has not posted.
  5. Ask the court to confirm the date, plea route, amount, and copy process.
  6. Keep the citation and any written confirmation of a reset or payment.

Graham Traffic Search Fields

Graham's municipal portal is the deepest local lookup. Tabs cover citation number, driver's license, vehicle information, name, and business name. The official form also asks for sensitive identity fields. Enter them only on the secure court-linked form, never in a public example or ordinary email.

The screen handles citation status and payment work. For the complete case file, the Graham court remains the source.

Traffic Court Dates in Young County

Start with the appearance date on the citation. Signing a Graham citation is not a plea. The first appearance is when the plea is set. For a JP case, follow the courtesy sheet and the precinct's current instructions. If a date changes, trust the later signed order or direct confirmation from the court, not an old screen view.

CourtJP1, JP3, Graham Municipal Court, Olney Municipal Court, or another named court.

Setting typeFirst appearance, plea, hearing, trial, or another court event.

For broader hearing context, the Young County court schedule page explains county calendar categories. It never substitutes for the issuing traffic court.

Graham Traffic Court Contact

Judge James Reeves presides over Graham Municipal Court at 456 Oak, Graham, Texas 76450. The office phone is 940-549-8370, and the court email is gmcc@grahamtexas.net. Hours run Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday is shorter. It runs 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Call before a midday visit.

Paying a Ticket vs Fighting It

Paying and fighting a ticket are different procedural roads. Graham is clear: the first appearance determines the plea, and a not-guilty plea leads to a judge or jury trial where the State carries its burden. An online payment is never just a way to reserve a hearing. Read the court's plea language before you submit funds.

Missed response date: Contact the issuing court at once. Do not infer a warrant, dismissal, or new date from a blank online result.

Young County Driving-Safety Requests

A driving-safety request in Young County lives or dies on the paperwork. The court's form asks for the citation details, the appearance date, and a sworn statement. It also covers the mailing method, court costs, license status, and any proof the court requires. Use certified mail with return receipt. Pay by cashier's check or money order. And note the limit: a commercial license holder is not eligible under the cited process.

The form itself is dated. It names a former JP1 judge. The amount shown is old as well. Check both against the precinct's current instructions before sending anything. Honor the deadline fields it lists. But never copy that outdated fee into a new payment. JP3 adds one more rule: no defensive-driving payments are accepted online.

Olney Traffic Payment Limits

Olney Municipal Court takes payments through FastGovPay, but the court is blunt about the limits. That option covers only Olney Municipal Court citations. Pay a JP3 ticket with JP3 instead, no matter where you live. Cards, money orders, and cashier's checks all work at Olney; cash does not.

Olney also posts a local safe-harbor policy. It covers active Class C warrants and capias from its own municipal court. Surrender voluntarily and in good faith. The court will recall the warrant and set a court date. That promise binds Olney alone, though. JP3, Graham, and other Young County traffic matters follow no such rule.

Two Records: Court and Driver Files

Two different files come into play after a traffic ticket in Young County. The court record sits with the JP or municipal court and traces the case itself: the citation, the plea, each setting, any payment or dismissal, a deferred event, and the final order and judgment. The driver record is something else entirely, kept by the state licensing authority. Checking the court portal gives you no complete view of that state file.

Turn to the court file when you need the story of the citation case. If you need proof of a court action, request an authenticated copy straight from the issuing court.

Young County Traffic Record Copy Fees

No JP or municipal copy fee schedule is posted. Call the issuing court and ask for its current charges for plain copies, certified copies, and searches. The District Clerk's fees apply to district cases only, so never borrow them for a city or JP citation in Young County.

Neither JP1 nor JP3 allows partial payments. JP1 takes Visa, Mastercard, and Discover, with a processor service fee added. Ask the full balance and how payment will appear on the record before you pay.

Wrong Young County Court?

Read the court name on the citation before you pay anything. Money sent to a JP court will not clear a Graham or Olney municipal citation. An Olney vendor payment will not touch a JP case. Call the court printed on the ticket. Ask about the citation status and the appearance date. Ask about your plea options and how to get copies.

Lost the ticket? Start with the agency that wrote it. Bring the approximate issue date, your name, and the location, then ask which court took the filing. Once you know the right court, use its official phone, counter, or portal. A search that returns nothing in the wrong system tells you nothing about the real Young County traffic record.

Note: Keep receipts, confirmation numbers, filed pleas, and reset notices with the citation until the court confirms final disposition.
